Greece Makes History with Double Gold at the WBDHF World Cup 5vs5 Montreal 2026

Team Greece delivered one of the most remarkable performances in recent WBDHF history by capturing two World Cup titles at the WBDHF World Cup 5vs5 Montreal 2026. With championship victories in both the Men Open and Legend MO45 divisions, Greece firmly established itself as the most successful nation of this year’s tournament. 

A Golden Generation

Throughout the competition, the Greek teams displayed exceptional discipline, tactical excellence, and outstanding team chemistry. Their determination and consistency were evident from the opening games through to the championship finals, where they rose to the occasion under pressure.

In the Men Open division, Greece claimed the world title after defeating a strong Czechia squad in the final. Canada completed the podium with the bronze medal.

The success continued in the Legend MO45 category, where Greece once again proved its dominance by winning a second gold medal. Czechia earned silver, while United Global secured the bronze.
