CWC-MAMUT 3x3: A World Tour to Bring Ball & Dek Hockey to New Countries
WBDHF Club World Cup continues its international journey — from Pakistan in 2026 to Bangkok, Thailand, in 2027.
The World Ball & Dek Hockey Federation (WBDHF) is taking its Club World Cup MAMUT to a new level, with a clear ambition: to expand the international reach of ball and dek hockey and introduce the sport to more countries around the world.
As an official WBDHF tournament that contributes to the international ranking, CWC-MAMUT represents more than a competition for clubs. It is a platform for international cooperation, sporting development, and the growth of the global ball and dek hockey community.
From Pakistan to Bangkok
In 2026, CWC-MAMUT was held in Pakistan, bringing international attention to the development of ball and dek hockey in new regions. In 2027, the tournament will move to Bangkok, Thailand, continuing its mission of reaching new destinations and opening doors for teams from different parts of the world.
This travelling format reflects the WBDHF’s long-term vision of making the sport more accessible internationally. By bringing the tournament to different countries, the Federation aims to create new opportunities for local teams, organizers, players, and partners to become part of the global ball and dek hockey movement.
A Tradition Dating Back to 1991
CWC-MAMUT has a history dating back to 1991. Over the years, the tournament has represented the spirit of international competition and the importance of building connections between teams and countries.
Today, the WBDHF is developing this tradition with a forward-looking strategy. The objective is not simply to organize another international event, but to establish a tournament that actively supports the expansion of the sport.
By bringing CWC-MAMUT to new locations, the Federation hopes to encourage participation from countries where ball and dek hockey is still developing, while strengthening relationships with existing member countries.
Jaroslav Melíšek: “Our Goal Is to Attract More Countries to Our Sport”
Jaroslav Melíšek, President of the World Ball & Dek Hockey Federation, explained the vision behind the tournament’s international journey:
“CWC-MAMUT is a WBDHF tournament that counts towards the world ranking. That is why we have decided that it will travel around the world. This year it was held in Pakistan, and next year it will be in Bangkok. The main goal of this tournament, which has been played since 1991, is to attract more new countries to our sport.”
His message highlights the Federation’s commitment to international development, new opportunities, and a stronger global presence for ball and dek hockey.
Building a Stronger Global Community
The WBDHF believes that the future of ball and dek hockey depends on expanding beyond traditional hockey markets and creating opportunities for new countries to participate.
CWC-MAMUT supports this vision by combining international competition with the promotion of the sport, the development of local communities, and the establishment of new sporting connections.
The tournament’s continued journey is intended to inspire more clubs to compete internationally, encourage new countries to join the sport, and create lasting friendships through competition.
Bangkok 2027: The Next Chapter
Bangkok, Thailand, will be the next destination in the CWC-MAMUT journey in 2027. The event will continue the tournament’s tradition while reinforcing the WBDHF’s ambition to make ball and dek hockey a truly international sport.
One tournament. Different countries. One global community.
Through CWC-MAMUT, the World Ball & Dek Hockey Federation is taking another step towards a future in which more countries, more clubs, and more players can become part of the worldwide ball and dek hockey family.
