Canada U20 is the Best Program In Ball Hockey

Canada U20 is the Best Program In Ball Hockey | WBDHF

With the World Ball Hockey Federation (WBHF) we have such a program and with the sport of ball hockey, the discussion begins and ends with one program, THE Junior Team Canada (JTC) that represents the National Ball Hockey Association of Canada (NBHAC) and the U20 program is the best in the World and they will be attending the World Ball Hockey Federation Championships in Nitra, Slovakia next June.

A lot of people talk about building a program, sustaining a program and winning within the program.   Well, by far, the JTC as it is known amongst it's alumni and current selected players is the most consistent program in the sports history.  Many will try to take credit for the program, but the program turned in 2008 when Mauro Cugini came on board.

You see many people involved in the sport back then took credit for winning, but were never really involved with youth ball hockey let alone the Junior system, but they sure came around to take credit for the people that built the Junior program and since can see who puts in the work to grow the game as many others are gone.

Those who have played for the U20 team and those that will wear the Red and White this summer will tell you that the approach to winning starts and ends with the way he see's the game and his approach to scouting and selecting the players.  He puts the players in the best position to use their skill set to the benefit of the team.  The U20 team has not lost a game since 2008 and has two ties (2008 & 2012) in what many would call meaningless games in preparation for elimination games.

You see, when they take to the floor, they are everyone's 'gold medal game' and the team knows it.  Undefeated since 2008 and heading into Nitra they have won five consecutive U20 World Championships.

They were the first team to repeat winning gold.  They are also the only international side with a winning record against every opponent.

One of the great things about sports is that the debates over who’s the best will rage on forever, but there’s one constant that nearly all great teams have–a swagger and confidence that announces to the opponent, “We’re going to beat you today.”  You don’t even have to watch those teams play. You just have to watch them walk.

THE JTC will arrive in Nitra with one goal in mind, Winning! And they want everyone to know it so they get everyone's best game.

The General Manager has only one thing to say to anyone that has an opinion, ‘Show Up, Lace Up and Play Us’.....otherwise, Crickets!
